Most bookings are a mix. A shelf goes up, a parcel goes to the post office, a high lightbulb gets changed, and there is a cup of tea in the kitchen on the way out. The list below shows the kinds of jobs I do most often. If your job is not on the list, call and ask. The answer is usually yes.

Shelving and Wall Fixings
Shelves, curtain poles, blinds, picture and mirror hanging, TV brackets. Secure fixings for any wall type.
Flat-Pack Assembly
IKEA, Argos, Wayfair. Wardrobes, beds, chests of drawers, desks. Built properly so doors close and drawers run.
Doors and Windows
Sticking doors planed, window catches adjusted, draught seals replaced.
Painting and Decorating
Touch-ups, single rooms, woodwork, ceilings. Honest about what suits a handyman versus a decorator.
Outdoor Maintenance
Fence panels, gates, jet washing, garden tidying. Smaller outdoor jobs that pile up.
Light Bulbs and Lampshades

How a typical visit works
Write a list. It doesn't have to be tidy: the back of an envelope or read out over the phone is fine. When I arrive, I'll go through it with you, agree an order and start. The first hour is £55 and includes getting to you if you're within five miles of Cirencester. It's the minimum charge, so it's worth saving up a few small jobs for one visit. After that it's £35 an hour, charged in half-hours.
Got a longer list? A half day (4 hours) is £125 and a full day (8 hours) is £230. I'll tell you which suits before I start.
Most visits last one to three hours and mix practical jobs with an errand or two. I finish with a quick note of what I did, and a plan for next time if you'd like one.
