Pricing

What is included

The hourly rate covers my time and small fixings like wall plugs, screws, washers and sealant. Travel within five miles of Cirencester town centre is included in the first hour.

Hourly or fixed session

If your list will take more than three hours, the half day (4 hours) at £125 works out cheaper than paying by the hour. The full day (8 hours) at £230 suits big lists, garden tidies or a day of mixed errands and repairs. I'll tell you which fits before I start.

Working hours

I work Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00. Weekends are family time. To arrange a visit, call me on 07803 176290 or send a message with your list.

Mileage outside the 5-mile zone

Everything within five miles of Cirencester town centre is included. Further out, I charge 45p for each mile beyond the first five, there and back. For Tetbury that's roughly £5 a visit. Mileage is shown on your invoice.

How payment works

I send a simple invoice after the visit, payable within seven days. Bank transfer is easiest. I also take cash for jobs under £100, and cards on a card reader.

What if a job needs materials?

For small consumables (screws, plugs, washers, sealant), I bring them. For anything bigger, I'll tell you the cost before buying. You can supply the materials yourself if you prefer. There is no markup on materials.

What if a job turns out to be too specialist?

Sometimes I'll lift a floorboard or open a back panel and find something that needs a proper electrician or roofer. If that happens, the usual charge for the visit still applies, and I'll recommend someone local who can do it. I won't start a job I shouldn't finish.
