Errand running service in Cirencester
Pharmacy, shopping, post office, council. The small jobs that eat half a morning.
You need a prescription from Boots, a parcel posted, and a couple of things from Waitrose. Simple enough. Except it is forty minutes of parking, queuing, walking, and driving before you are back at the kitchen table. I run errands around Cirencester so you do not have to.
What counts
Prescriptions from Boots, Lloyds or a village pharmacy. Shopping at Waitrose, Tesco or the market. A visit to the post office. Dropping forms at the council offices or a solicitor. Dry cleaning. Library books. A bank visit. A trip to the recycling centre with garden waste or old paperwork. Picking up an order from a shop that does not deliver.
If it involves driving to town and standing in a queue, it counts.
Who books this
Older residents who have stopped driving. People recovering from surgery. Parents with a newborn who cannot face the Brewery car park. And, more and more often, adult sons and daughters who live in London or Bristol and want their mum or dad looked after during the week.
Booking for a parent
If you live away and your parent lives in Cirencester, you can book the visit, pay for it, and give me the list by phone or email. I will call or message you afterwards to say what was collected, what was out of stock, and whether anything needs ordering for next time. It takes two minutes and it means you know the shopping is done.
How it works
I arrive with the list. I phone the pharmacy first to check the prescription is ready (saves a wasted trip). I drive to each stop, keep every receipt, and bring it all back to the house. If the list is short I will use the rest of the hour for a job indoors. Nothing gets wasted.
Pricing
£55 first hour, £35 each hour after. Two or three stops around town usually fits inside the first hour. A longer run out to Tesco Extra, the tip and the garden centre is more like two hours. I keep receipts for everything I buy on your behalf.
