April in Cirencester has a particular quality. The town quietly gets busier, the pubs start putting their tables out, every second person you meet is walking a dog or painting a fence. The events calendar follows suit. These events have now finished. Here's what was on across town, and a few things further out.

Head-Bangers Circus: Adventure of Taking Flight
Aerial performance show, billed as family-friendly, and a good one for grandchildren.

Held in a Roundhouse in the woods. Not my usual Thursday night, but several clients have recommended it. Noisier than yoga.

Two stages, 29 acts, Rock 'n' Roll Bingo and fancy dress. Raises money for Prospect Hospice and the Roxi Foundation. Max 250 adult weekend tickets so worth booking.

Multi-award-winning fried chicken. I've not had them yet. High on the list.

If you've never been to one, it's an hour of lying on a mat while someone plays gongs and singing bowls. More relaxing than it sounds. Word of mouth is that it's booking up.

Annual event, brilliant for bedding plants and hanging baskets at a fair price. Funds the Churn Project's community work, which supports a lot of the same local people I help through my work.
