Handyman in South Cerney
About three miles south of Cirencester, so travel is included.
South Cerney is one of the villages closest to Cirencester. It's about three miles away, on the edge of the Cotswold Water Park.
It is a mixed community. Some of the houses along the High Street are old Cotswold stone, which means the walls are solid and the fixings are straightforward. The newer builds near the lakes tend to be cavity wall and plasterboard, which needs a different approach for shelves and rails. I'm used to both.
Quite a few of my South Cerney visits are for older residents who like having someone local who will come out, fix a few things, and stay for a chat. Others are for families who want a list of small jobs dealt with in one go. Both work well on the hourly rate.
Travel and pricing
No mileage charge: you're inside my five-mile zone. South Cerney is about three miles away, so travel is included in the £55 first hour. After that it's £35 an hour, charged in half-hours.
