Handyman in Lechlade
About eleven miles east. I visit when booked, usually combining with Fairford.
Lechlade is one of the further villages I cover, about eleven miles east of Cirencester along the Thames. It is a lovely spot, quieter than Fairford, and popular with retirees.
When I visit Lechlade I usually try to combine it with another job nearby, perhaps in Fairford on the way. That makes the trip more worthwhile for both of us. The work is the same as anywhere: odd jobs, shelves, smoke alarm checks, a bit of help around the house. There are quite a few older people living alone in Lechlade who appreciate having someone come out regularly.
Travel and pricing
Lechlade is outside the free travel zone, so mileage at 45p per mile (return trip) applies. First hour £55, then £35 an hour. A half-day booking works well here and keeps the cost sensible relative to the travel.
