Handyman in Cirencester

I am based in Cirencester, so this is where I do the bulk of my work. Most weeks I am visiting homes across town, from the older terraces around Watermoor and Chesterton to the newer estates off the Tetbury Road and the stone cottages near the market place.

The kinds of jobs I do most often in town are the ones that pile up. A shelf that has been on the list for months. Smoke alarm batteries for a parent who forgot to change them. A pharmacy collection on the way. A tap that has been dripping since Christmas. A high lightbulb that nobody can reach. I work through the list, have a cup of tea, and move on.

A lot of my regular customers are older residents who live alone. Some I visit fortnightly on a care package. Others call when the list gets long enough to justify an hour or two. Either way works. I also get plenty of calls from sons and daughters who live elsewhere and want someone reliable to pop in and sort a few things out for their mum or dad.

Travel and pricing

Cirencester is within the free travel zone. The first hour is £55 with no mileage on top. After that it is £35 an hour, in half-hour blocks. If you have a longer list, the half day at £125 or full day at £230 is usually the better option.
