Three miles east of Cirencester. A quiet village with a lot of older residents.
Ampney Crucis is a small village about three miles along the A417 from Cirencester. It is one of those places where people have lived for a long time. Lots of retired homeowners, stone cottages, and the kind of community where people still know their neighbours.
I enjoy working out there. The houses tend to be older, which means the jobs are interesting: thicker walls, original timber, slightly wonky door frames. I do a lot of home safety work and general odd jobs for people who want someone they can call on regularly. A couple of my monthly package customers are in Ampney Crucis.
