Three miles east of Cirencester. A quiet village with a lot of older residents.
Ampney Crucis is a small village about three miles along the A417 from Cirencester. It is one of those places where people have lived for a long time. Lots of retired homeowners, stone cottages, and the kind of community where people still know their neighbours.
I enjoy working out there. The houses tend to be older, which means the jobs are interesting: thicker walls, original timber, slightly wonky door frames. I do grab rail work and general odd jobs here, for people who want someone they can call on.
Travel and pricing
No mileage charge: you're inside my five-mile zone. The first hour is £55 and includes getting to you if you're within five miles of Cirencester. After that it's £35 an hour, charged in half-hours.
